The ‘why’ behind Stryber

Our mission is simple: to share our lived experiences with established businesses to help them confidently identify and seize new growth opportunities.

Our founders, Jan and Alex, have experienced first-hand how corporate innovation often fails, bogged down by innovation theater, political decision-making, and poor governance. These challenges have led to the downfall of seemingly infallible businesses.

On the flip side, they’ve also watched countless startups with great ideas, innovative tech, and promising traction fail to take off. Why?

As small, unknown competitors, they often struggle to match the market reach and customer trust of established players, even with superior products and services.

Stryber was founded on the belief that combining the relative strengths of these two vastly different worlds isn’t just possible, it’s essential. Real, transformative growth is within reach for every company, but only if it’s done the right way.

These experiences taught them a vital lesson: large companies have assets startups can only dream of but often stand in their own way when it comes to leveraging them. Startups, on the other hand, bring agility and innovation but struggle to achieve the scale and distribution power needed to succeed. Our founders have also experienced how incredibly difficult it is to bring these two worlds successfully together.

Founded by Alex and Jan, Stryber is led by two seasoned entrepreneurs and operators with more than 20 years of experience each across strategy consulting, corporate innovation, venture capital, and startup building. Having worked at the intersection of board-level strategy and hands-on execution, they combine visionary thinking with capital discipline and operational rigor. Under their leadership, Stryber has established itself as a highly specialized professional services firm, successfully competing with the top players in its niche by aligning strategy, governance, and execution to create investable growth.
